One arrested, charged following shooting at College Station smoke shop

Ahsan Khan, 40, has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon after shooting a woman that had an argument with one of the smoke shop owners.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Thursday evening, a dispute at a local smoke shop turned into a shooting.

According to College Station Police, a verbal argument between one of the store owners of Parallel Smoke Shop--located at 2205 Longmire Drive Suite A.--and a female customer, resulting in the customer being asked to leave the store. After the customer left the store, the store owner, later identified as 40-year-old Ahsan Khan, shot the woman.

Authorities responded to the shooting report shortly before 9 p.m., and were able to determine that there was no danger to the public while detectives conducted an investigation.

The woman was taken to a local hospital by College Station Fire and is reported to be in stable condition.

Khan has been booked into the Brazos County Jail and is being charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. His bond is set at $30,000.
