Shaquan Ronald Rhoades, 30, of Bryan, was arrested and charged with a number of crimes for pulling out and pointing a gun at another person early Saturday morning.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — A man is behind bars and facing multiple charges for pulling a gun on a person in an incident that took place at Chimy's at Northgate on Saturday, Aug. 3.

According to the College Station Police Department, around 2:30 a.m., a victim approached an officer to report that a man had pointed a gun at another person. An officer went to investigate the report and found the man in the Chimy's parking lot off of University Drive. When the officer attempted to place him under arrest, Shaquan Ronald Rhoades, 30, of Bryan, took off in his car.

A CSPD patrol car took off after Rhoades and stopped him at the intersection of First Street and Louise Avenue for a "high-risk traffic stop." Ultimately, Rhoades, alongside the two other passengers in the car, were detained, but the two passengers were released without any charges being pressed.

Rhoades' charges include Disorderly Conduct by Displaying a Firearm, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, and Evading Arrest in a Vehicle. According to Brazos County Jail Records, his bonds for all four charges total $44,000.

Police say the victim suffered a minor injury from being physically assaulted.
