Search warrant leads to discovery of over 11 pounds of marijuana, other items at College Station home

Among the items seized included over $3,000 in cash, more than 11 pounds of marijuana, 300 grams of THC, and two handguns.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — A narcotics search warrant arrest that was executed on Thursday in College Station ended in the arrest of one man and capture of drugs and other items.

According to College Station Police, officers from the Community Enhancement and Special Investigations Units carried out a narcotics search warrant at a home in the 3500 block of Davidson Drive. After the search warrant was carried out, David Arturo Acosta, 22, was arrested and marijuana, THC, cash, and handguns were seized.

The items that were seized include:

  • More than 11 pounds of marijuana
  • 300 grams of THC
  • Two handguns
  • More than $3,000 in cash

Acosta has been charged with possession of marijuana in an amount between 5 pounds and 50 pounds, the manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group 2 or 2A between 4 and 400 grams, and evading arrest. His bonds total $79,000, according to Brazos County Jail records.
