Six arrested by Brazos County Sheriffs for connections to human traffickers

A host of agencies assisted with the operation, including the FBI, Texas Department of Public Safety, Grimes County Sheriff's Office, and more.

Over the weekend, on Nov. 11, the Brazos County Sheriff's Office announced that they had arrested six individuals in a targeted operation meant to catch those involved in human trafficking.

"The operation is a testament to our dedication to safeguard our community members, especially those most vulnerable and at risk of exploitation," the sheriff's office said in a media release. "The success of this operation shows how valuable it is to have local agencies working together towards a common goal."

The individuals apprehended include:

  • Ronnie Wayne Bielamowicz, 54, of Bremont
  • Juan Antonio Tirado-Tirado, 32, of Bryan
  • Thomas Jamar Sweed, 31, of Bryan
  • Chalhukya Reddy Reddy, 31, of College Station
  • Michael Edwin Maas, 68, of Rosebud
  • Jose Maria Torres Hernandez, 27, of Hearne

The Brazos County Sheriff's Office also extended its thanks to the multiple law enforcement agencies that assisted in the operation, including the FBI, Texas Department of Public Safety, College Station Police Department, Texas A&M University Police Department, Caldwell Police Department, and the Grimes County Sheriff's Office.

Details that could endanger potential future victims were not provided due to the sensitive nature of the operations conducted.
