Independent production studio to debut new feature film shot in the Brazos Valley

An independent film and recording studio is showcasing their new feature film, 'The Lives of Wolves' shot in the Brazos Valley using all native cast and crew members

BRYAN, Texas — An independent production studio is planning a red-carpet event at The Queen Theatre for their new feature film, 'Lives of Wolves'.

'Lives of Wolves' is a provocative story about a character who seeks a better life for his family after getting involved with dangerous people.

Local actor and rapper, Damien Love, or DLove, who plays Earl Beckham in the film, described its appeal, “It's actually based on a lot of stuff that happens in real life, with that being said, a lot of people can take a liking to it because of that, and on top of that it's dealing with a lot of people here locally, that made a big impact on the local scene. I’m excited for it because it’s a lot of truth to it, it's based off truth.”

The movie was entirely filmed in the Bryan and College Station area with many businesses like 1816 Italia making a cameo in the film.

GK Studios owner, Preston Flores said, “Everybody in the film is a local here so either they’ve graduated from A&M or they own a business here so that was the surreal thing we’re bringing everything back home.”

The cast and crew were also born and raised here in the Brazos Valley with two actors of the actors being A&M graduates, showing their love for their hometown through their performances.

Taylor Jean, a local fitness studio owner and model, who plays Alexis in the film, described the importance of this local creation, “I think another cool part about it is you’ll see parts of the Brazos Valley within the film. It's gonna be so awesome to be in the audience watching the town that you live in or grew up in. I’m from Navasota and there's some snippets from Navasota, so I think that’s amazing, but it's also giving back to the community. The bigger the film gets, the more exposure the Brazos Valley will have, and the businesses in it that gave to us.”
