Navasota Animal Shelter calling for donations ahead of arctic blast

The Navasota Animal Shelter is in need of supplies to keep animals warm ahead of the temperature drop.

NAVASOTA, Texas — As temperatures get ready to fall it's important to remember the three p's, plants, people, and pets, While it's important to remember to bring in your pets and plants as temperatures drop below freezing the city of Navasota is asking that you don't forget about the pups in need at your local animal shelter. 

The Navasota Animal Shelter is in need of your help. To keep all the shelter animals warm they are calling for donations of tarps and blankets as well as PVC beds. Heat lamps and bulbs would also be greatly appreciated. If you aren't able to donate any of the items immediately needed you can still help them out by buying an item on their Amazon wish list. 

The shelter is also always accepting donations of food, cleaning supplies, and other care items. 

If you would like to donate to the shelter you can contact them at, (936) 825-6641. You can also call the Navasota Police Department to find out drop-off locations and be directed to the shelter at, (936) 825-6124. 

The shelter is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
