BRYAN, Texas — Frida’s Kitchen and Bar in Bryan is brining a modern twist to authentic Mexican dishes.
Here’s what to expect from their grand opening.
The concept for this restaurant came to Bryan resident Irma Paez as a passion project and quickly became a reality thanks to her friends and family.
The Paez family came together to create a space where the Hispanic community in Bryan could feel at home, with every dish resembling a traditional yet elevated version of what many families grew up with.
“All the plates that the chef has prepared for the community they’re just amazing from A to Z we have authentic Mexican plates that have 27 ingredients and more,” said General Manager Yolanda Alvarez.
They hope to make Frida’s a center for comfort and unity.
“I think we found it really important to bring this to the community because being here for such a long time we have met a lot of people who have similar experiences to us they might leave Mexico or south America and they’re just longing that slice of home so to bring those authentic flavors especially for them allows them to feel like this community belongs to them as well," Co-owner and son of Irma Paez, Brandon Paez explained.
With their grand opening this Saturday they can’t wait to show their colors to Bryan.
Paez said, “At Frida's our slogan is 'de nuestro corazon a su mesa' so we really want people to feel the passion and the intention that we have behind all of our dishes and we’re hoping that when they come here it really does feel like a night our and a unique experience for them.”
Frida's Kitchen & Bar is located at 3700 S Texas Avenue in Bryan.
