BRYAN, Texas - The Bryan Police Department (BPD) is joining several other agencies across the nation with the addition of new body cameras.
On Tuesday, the Bryan City Council approved the purchase of 143 body cameras for each officer on the force. The department tested and evaluated eight different models before making a final decision. The new cameras will cost $872,590 over the next five years.
BPD believes the cameras will promote positive relations and transparent communication with citizens.
