BASTROP, Texas — A two car accident on Friday night in Bastrop County took the lives of at least four people, leaving only one survivor, all of whom are connected to Huntsville ISD.
Three of the victims were siblings: an 11th grader, a 8th grader, and a 6th grader, according to a letter sent to HISD Staff. The fourth victim was an HISD alum.
All of the victims were traveling in the same car, according to Texas DPS. The surviving victim was airlifted to an Austin hospital.
The accident happened along Highway 21 at Quarter Horse Loop. Passengers in the second car were not injured in the crash, according to DPS.
The districts plans to have counselors available Monday, according to the letter sent to district staff.
