BRYAN, Texas — The cities of Bryan and College Station want to see your business succeed as the COVID-19 pandemic continues. Times have been tough and budgets have been tight as local businesses work tirelessly to keep their doors open while also keeping up with extra health and safety protocols to keep their staff and the community safe.
That's why both cities have joined together to help alleviate the burden of the extra costs associated with the extra cleaning and safety measures with the Public Health Reimbursement Program.
The program provides funds for qualifying for-profit and non-profit businesses within the city limits of both Bryan and College Station. Your business may qualify for a grant if you've had to spend extra on any of the following due to the pandemic:
- Masks
- Sanitizing equipment
- Sneeze guards
- Virus testing
- Signs related to public health
- Additional staffing
- New protocols for disinfecting and cleaning
- Payroll expenses for staff to comply with COVID-19 health measures
- Other expenses needed to comply with COVID-19 public health measures
To be eligible for a grant, you also have to provide proof of the expenses listed above, and you cannot be past-due on any payments to the cities of Bryan and College Station.
There will be two application periods, the first from July 15, 2020 – August 3, 2020 for expenses incurred from March 1, 2020 to July 14, 2020. The second will be open from August 17, 2020 – September 15, 2020 for expenses incurred July 15, 2020 – September 14, 2020. Grant applicants whose application has been approved will receive their grant within 30 days after the approval.
