BRYAN, Texas — Good news! Tahoka, the poodle mix that was found abandoned on the streets of College Station and has recovered in the care of the Aggieland Humane Society has officially been adopted into a new home.
Even better, he's now known as "Buddy" and has a sister that he can play with named Izzy.
Since August, Buddy has had a tumultuous couple of months since being found in critical condition inside a kennel with a blanket draped over it in College Station. He was later rushed to emergency care at the Kingdom Animal Hospital and later started on the road to recovery in the Aggieland Humane Society's care, even getting to meet the individuals from the College Station Police Department that had a hand in saving him in a heartwarming reunion.
The Aggieland Humane Society has also thanked the community for those that have donated towards Buddy's efforts to be a happy and healthy pup once again.
"Tahoka and his new family are a perfect match!" the shelter said in a Facebook post. "We can't wait to see all the adventures they will take together! Thank you to everyone who has been a part of Tahoka's journey!"
