College Station Animal Control rescues beaver from University Dog Park

College Station PD said the beaver was taken to Paws and Claws Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — University Dog Park in College Station had an unusual visitor on May 30.

According to the College Station Police Department, Animal Control responded to a call about an injured beaver at the dog park in the afternoon of May 30.

Police said the animal control officer determined that the beaver had "some sort of traumatic injury or neurological issue" causing coordination issues. The animal control officer reportedly removed the beaver from the park.

According to police, the beaver was later taken to the Paws and Claws Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in College Station. No further updates have been given at this time.
