Introducing an Aggie indie rock band who performed for student radio's annual concert

A student-led indie rock band performed for Texas A&M student radio's annual concert called Save The Music.

BRYAN, Texas — A young up-and-coming band created by Aggies is looking to expand their audience through recent performances.

In fact, the band almost didn’t make it until some key members got involved to revive the group, creating the new, Blue House band.

Original member and Bassist, Jaden Williams explained the group's struggles, saying “We had a band freshman year and our drummer transferred to OU things just fell apart so we were missing a singer and a drummer and I mean look at these guys”

Finding their style and place in the band was a unique journey, at least for the lead singer.

“When I first joined this band, I was mainly a guitar and lead singer, and they were like Patrick, we have too many guitar players so can you just sing, and I was like oh no what am I gonna do. So what I did was who's my favorite singer, I'm gonna do what he does, so I watched hours of The Strokes playing,” Patrick Campbell, lead singer said.

This indie rock band is heavily influenced by 90s and 2000s sounds, appealing to a large audience of Aggies that grew up with the music from that time.

“We now have an audience where we want to start implementing originals and we’re in the lab right now making original songs,” said Carter Adams, the band's drummer.

This young group’s road to stardom is just starting and they’re giving it their all.

Williams illustrated their chemistry as a band, “Especially when we play live together, it all really comes together, and I feel like we feed off of each others energy a lot, so I feel like on top of playing good music, we bring a good show as well good entertainment.”
