BRYAN, Texas — Multiple restaurants in the Bryan-College Station food scene have closed over the past few weeks.

Some of the closures have included chain restaurants, like Hooter's in Bryan, while non-corporate owned establishments like Imperial Chinese & Sushi--which permanently closed on June 20.

"We are sorry to announce that Imperial Chinese and Sushi will permanently close on June 20, 2024 (or sooner if we sell out the food)," A notice of closure read outside the restaurant prior to its closing. "It has been an incredible 10 years, and we owe it all to you, our valued customers and friends. We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our dedicated staff, past and present, for their unwavering support. And to the communities of Brazos County and beyond, your friendship and patronage have meant the world to us."

The notice continued with another heartfelt thanks to its customers.

"Again, thank you so much for 10 wonderful years of business! It has been a great and unforgettable ride. We hope that our paths may cross again in the future!"

Earlier in the month, Mo's Irish Pub & Grill also closed its doors as the group further shrunk its restaurant footprint to just five total locations--three in the Houston area and two in Wisconsin.

Casa Olé even closed its location at the Post Oak Mall in College Station last Wednesday, June 19, leaving only their Bryan location remaining in town.

Many other establishments have closed their doors in the past few months, including Amico Nave, World of Beer, Mad Taco, Ozona Bar and Grill, and Mr. Hamburger, among others. In the case of Amico Nave, the restaurant will become the new location for Shipwreck Grill--located just across the street on Villa Maria Road.

Wade and Mary Beckman own both restaurants, and construction is underway to construct a new storefront for Shipwreck Grill.
