As a kid, there is a special type of feeling as you walk through the isles of a toy store.
After dreams and pleads for a certain toy, the excitement of walking in and claiming what is yours is unmeasurable.
However, one well-recognized toy store is closing its doors.
Toys 'R' Us filed for bankruptcy in September of 2017.
In January, the company announced 180 store closures. In February, the number rose to 380.
Now, the company is announcing that they will be closing its U.S. stores.
Shoppers at the Toys 'R' Us in College Station were getting their last gifts at the store.
Mandy Schoenst said she was buying a birthday gift for her daughter.
"I was actually surprised it was still open," Schoenst said.
But, it won't be open for long. After a bankruptcy court hearing, Toys ''R' Us announced liquidation plans.
Schoenst said she hopes a store similar to Toys 'R' Us will open.
"It's the only real toy store there is," she said.
Now, she said she'll most likely shop at Walmart or other places. But said their inventory doesn't compare.
