Thirty local businesses gathered to show the culture and community around Bryan/College Station.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Thirty local businesses gathered to show the culture and community around Bryan/College Station.

As part of national tourism week, Experience Bryan/College Station was hosting Travel Fest, a festival to show the community what these two cities in the Brazos Valley has to offer.

"We are trying to highlight tourism in Bryan/College Station and why our destination is a great place to come," said Elise Lawhun, Experience B/CS sales and service coordinator.

Lawhun said for those who experience Bryan/College Station on a daily basis may become use to the different sites and attractions, but by holding this event she hopes it will show all of what this community has to offer.

"We want to educate people on why it is important and how much tourism impacts the area," she said.
