Jimbo Fisher brings in Marcus Spears to speak to football team

To help reinforce his vision though, Fisher brought in current SEC analyst Marcus Spears to speak with the team earlier this week.

After eight straight practices to begin fall camp, the Texas A&M football team enjoyed the day off. The Aggies will return to the field Saturday and then host fan appreciate day at Kyle Field on Sunday.

New head coach Jimbo Fisher is working hard to put his stamp on the program, and from everything we've heard, the players have responded quite well and are 100 percent on board.

To help reinforce his vision though, Fisher brought in current SEC analyst Marcus Spears to speak with the team earlier this week.

The former defensive end played for fisher at LSU in the early 2000's while he was the Tigers offensive coordinator under then head coach Nick Saban.

Named first team all-SEC two years in a row, Spears helped LSU win a national title in 2003 and Fisher says its important to bring in a successful individual like Spears who went onto play nine

years in the NFL.
