Huntsville PD seek public help in search for home intruder

Investigators with the Huntsville Police Department are asking for assistance from the public in identifying and locating a home intruder suspect.

HUNTSVILLE, Texas -- The Huntsville Police Department are currently investigating three home intrusion incidents in which the suspect entered while the resident was sleeping.

In each incident, the victim awoke to find the suspect standing next to her bed.

When victims screamed or confronted the suspect he quickly fled the scene.

In all three cases there were no signs of forced entry, leading investigators to believe the suspect may have entered the residences through an unlocked door or window.

The suspect is described as male, medium complexioned, between 5 '7 and 5'10, with a tribal-style tattoo on his left shoulder and arm.

Currently these offenses are being investigated as Burglaries, which in this instance would be a felony of the first degree that could carry a punishment of life in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Chief Kevin Lunsford said, “We are currently working with neighboring agencies to determine if similar offenses are occurring in their areas."

While these crimes have so far not resulted in any injuries, police are concerned that if this continues the suspect may begin to escalate.

The Huntsville Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect and getting him into custody.

Anyone with information regarding this suspect is urged to call the Huntsville Police Department at (936) 291-5480, or Crime Stoppers at (936) 294-9494.
