Five Bucs score in double-digits as Bucs beat Strength 'N Power

The Blinn College men’s basketball team (10-2, 1-2) displayed a strong offense in order to defeat Strength N Motion International, 90-74, on Saturday in the Kruse Center.

Five Buccaneers tallied double-digit points in the win.

“It is always good to finish the semester with a win,” said Scott Schumacher, Blinn head coach. “I am proud of my guys for going into the holiday break with a 10-2 record.”

Kai Tease led the Buccaneers with 21 points, Nic Tata followed with 14 and JaQuan Morris was next with 13. Uriel Velis and Matt Adams each posted 11 points in the win.

Blinn and Strength N Motion International played a close first half, but the Buccaneers prevailed with a 39-36 lead heading into the second half. The Buccaneers pulled ahead for a 16-point win by outscoring Strength N Motion 51-38 in the final half.

The Buccaneers will face the Houston Gladiators on Wednesday, Jan. 2, at 7 p.m. when they return from the holiday break.
