ESPN's College Game Day touches down in Aggieland

In its 25 years, the show has made a lot of stops around the nation including a few to College Station.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - It's been all the buzz since the announcement, ESPN's College Game Day is in Aggieland, ahead of Texas A&M's matchup against the Clemson Tigers.

In its 25 years, the show has made a lot of stops around the nation including a few to College Station.

As former ACC foes Jimbo Fisher and Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney prepare to face off, thousands of fans are getting their signs ready for the fan favorite spectacle that is College Game Day.

The shows first stop in Aggieland came in 2000 when the Aggies took on the then No. 1 Sooners of Oklahoma, who later went on to become National Champions.

The show hasn't historically favored the Aggies going 1-6 when featured as one of the two teams of the week. Their lone victory coming from their matchup with Tennessee in 2016.

This will be College Game Day's sixth trip to Aggieland but the teams eight appearance on the show. Their most recent coming from their 2016 showdown with the Crimson Tide of Alabama.

Things didn't go so well for the Aggies falling 14-33 at Denny Stadium, but with Clemson the highest ranked non-conference opponent the Aggies have ever hosted at Kyle Field, it will surely be a game to watch.
